ChromoMapperWeb
Welcome to ChromoMapperWeb

ChromoMapperWeb is a web tool designed to evaluate genome assemblies starting from the results of a mapping procedure carried out on a reference genome. It quickly identifies and displays similarities and differences between the compared genomes or assemblies using both tables and graphic representations.
No previous registration is required to access the site. Users anonymously use the tool and the data they upload will remain available for 48 hours. For longer-term storage, a user-defined string can be provided, consisting of a user tag, typically an identifying name of a person or project, and a five-character alphanumeric code, separated by ':'.

ChromoMapperWeb was initially designed to work on Quast as a data source and can directly read its output files; it also works on files produced by nucmer from the mumMer package or other similar alignment tools.
It represents the main alignment blocks at chromosomal or sub-chromosomal scale, highlighting similarities and colinearity between the compared sequences, discontinuities and inconsistencies, repeated regions and interruptions in the assembled sequences. It works by integrating mapping data with external info and uses both in a broad range of interactively editable graphical views. (More info in the help page.)
